How to rip dvd's to your ipod

Having recently gone travelling for a few months, I was faced with a bit of a problem in that I wanted to take some dvd's with me to watch along the way on flights/train journeys etc.

I didn't necessarily want to take a heavy-ish laptop with me, as well as dvd discs, power supplies etc etc, so I decided to just take an ipod touch instead. Problem was how to get the dvd movies onto the ipod without spending years doing it, and without filling the ipod after about 2 movies!

I searched around a bit and found the DVD converter Suite, a great little piece of software perfect for the job! It let me rip dvd movies quickly and easily, and then convert them into smaller file formats that I was able to watch on my ipod touch - end result, I was able to cram about 15 movies onto the ipod, a bunch more onto the netbook I also took with me (no dvd drive) and keep myself amused right the way through the whole of my trip.

Now I'm back home I'm still enjoying the software, ripping movies to watch on the daily commute.
